Dee-Mack Wins 2A Football State Title PDF Print E-mail

Dee-Mack took home the 2A football state championship with a 35-7 win over Maroa-Forsyth.  It was the 2nd consecutive 2A title for the HOIC with Tri-Valley winning it in 2015.  It's also the 4th HOIC state title in the last calendar year, including Tri-Valley (2A football in 2015), LeRoy (1A basketball in 2016), Eureka (2A volleyball in 2016), and Dee-Mack (2A football in 2016.  Congratulations to the Chiefs on a great run.  They finished their championship season 13-1 overall.

 
Eureka Volleyball Wins 2A State Title PDF Print E-mail

In its first year as a conference member, Eureka won the HOIC volleyball regular season title going undefeated in conference play. To add to that achievement, the Hornets raced to the 2A state title with a two-set win over St. Joseph-Ogden in the championship match.  Congratulations to Eureka on a great inaugural year in the HOIC!

 
Fisher Softball and GCMS Boys Track Finish 4th at State PDF Print E-mail

Congratulations to the Fisher softball team for its 4th place finish in the IHSA Class 1A State Softball Tournament and to the GCMS boys track and field team for a 4th place finish at the 1A State Track Meet.

 
EPG Boys, Eureka Girls win HOIC Golf Titles PDF Print E-mail

El Paso-Gridley's boys golf team won its seventh consecutive HOIC golf tournament on September 27th at ISU.  The Titans shot 329 as a team on their way to a relatively comfortable win.  LeRoy (358) and GCMS (376) finished second and third, respectively.  On the girls side, Eureka won its first HOIC title by shooting 377.  EPG finished second with 417 and LeRoy was third with 442.  Congratulations to EPG and Eureka on their golf championships!

 
Baseball and Softball Champs PDF Print E-mail

LeRoy and Blue Ridge were co-champions for the regular season in HOIC baseball this year.  Both finished with 10-1 conference records.  It is the second consecutive baseball title for LeRoy and the first in baseball for Blue Ridge.  In softball, Tremont finished 10-1 to take its fifth HOIC softball regular season title.  It also is Tremont's fourth consecutive softball championship.  Congratulations to the 2015-16 baseball and softball champions.
