Each year, the Heart of Illinois Conference awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to students from HOIC schools.  Students go through an application and interview process to earn scholarships in the areas of Academics, Fine Arts, Male Athlete, and Female Athlete.  There are three monetary awards for each of the four scholarships (one winner and two runners-up).  In 2013-14, Elite Performance in Affiliation with Gibson Area Hospital began sponsoring the Male Athlete and Female Athlete Scholarships.  Their generous donation provides the HOIC with $4,000 to award to three finalists for each of these athletic scholarships ($1000 for each winner and $500 for all runners-up).
